John “Austin” FIte
Supply Chain SME & business success analyst
Mr. Fite began his career in counter-terrorism as a translator and video analyst. His work focused on groups established in Afghanistan, North Africa, and Central Africa. Shortly after, he began a career in supply chain risk management working for the Department of Defense’s Program Executive Offices (PEOs) including the Army’s PEO Ground Combat Systems, Army Futures Command, and the Navy’s PEO Integrated Weapon Systems. He has been instrumental in identifying major supply chain security concerns for platforms such as the F-35, the M1A1 Abrams battle tank, and naval surface weapons.
Mr. Fite currently serves as a subject matter expert for the Department of Health and Human Services’ Administration for Strategic Preparedness and Response where he consults program directors and procurement officers regarding risks surrounding the pharmaceutical industrial base. He continues to grow his career at OpSurv as a Business Success Analyst identifying areas for growth, managing strategic relationships, and following contract opportunities.
Mr. Fite graduated from Virginia Tech in 2019 with a Bachelor’s in International Studies specializing in Security and Foreign Policy with a minor in Arabic. Mr. Fite is also a graduate of the Virginia Tech Corps of Cadets and a graduate of the University of Groningen’s Counter Illicit Trade and Organized Crime program.
